Meet the Dot and Dash Team



Erin has worked in book publishing for more than a decade, first as a copy editor and copywriter and then as an author coach, developmental editor, and sensitivity reader. She specializes in romance, women's fiction, young adult, and business nonfiction and has helped to bring hundreds of titles to publication, including romance books that went on to be USA Today and Amazon best sellers and other award-winning titles. She has worked with a Big Five publisher and a major children’s publisher, but her favorite experiences have been helping women authors who self-publish their manuscripts. She has a certificate in editing and is a member of the ACES: The Society for Editing and the Professional Editors Network.

When she's not working on exciting manuscripts, she blogs about grammarruns a Minneapolis Meetup group for writers and a group for women entrepreneurs, serves as the vice president of public relations for her local Toastmasters club, and speaks nationally about writing, editing, and entrepreneurship. She lives with her husband, her two senior cats, and her odd-shaped dog in Minneapolis, Minnesota.


Brenna is a full-time book editor for independent authors. She has experience in both YA and adult fiction across the board, including contemporary, fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction, and she has helped an author become an Amazon best seller. She received her editing certificate from Simon Fraser University and is a member of Editors Canada. She is a copy editor, beta reader, and sensitivity reader for Dot and Dash.


In her spare time, she devours as many books as she can. Her latest reads and reviews are on her Instagram and her podcast, The Hobby ShelfShe also loves traveling, and part of her heart resides in Scotland, where she completed her university degree. She lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her soon-to-be husband and their adorable fur-babies.


Crystal is a copy editor, proofreader, and sensitivity reader who primarily works with independent fiction authors. Her specialties are science fiction and fantasy, though she is open and available to work on all types of books.


She also practices as a licensed clinical social worker and unites her love of language and social justice by providing editorial services with a focus on representation and conscious language. She is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and its Diversity Initiative, ACES: The Society for Editing, and Utah Freelance Editors. She lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband and dog.  When she's not editing, she's probably reading, playing video games, or eating her favorite Taiwanese foods.


Jacquelynn is an author of fiction and poetry, as well as a story coach, beta reader, and sensitivity reader. She spent last year teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea and has now returned home to Boulder, Colorado, to write about the strange, fantastical, and romantic. She focuses on speculative fiction across different genres, and her favorite things to read are urban fantasy, offbeat sci-fi, and anything a little eerie.
