Meet the Dot and Dash Team


Erin has worked in book publishing for more than a decade, first as a copy editor and copywriter and then as an author coach. She specializes in women's fiction, romance, young adult, and business nonfiction and has helped to bring hundreds of titles to publication, including romance books that went on to be USA Today and Amazon best sellers and other award-winning titles. She has worked with a Big Five publisher and a major children’s publisher, but her favorite experiences have been helping women author-entrepreneurs who self-publish their manuscripts. She has a certificate in editing and is a member of the American Copy Editors Society and the Professional Editors Network.

When she's not working on exciting manuscripts, She blogs about grammarruns a Minneapolis Meetup group for writers and a group for women entrepreneurs, and speaks nationally about writing, editing, and entrepreneurship. She lives with her husband, her two senior cats, and her odd-shaped dog in Minneapolis, Minnesota.


Brenna Davies is a full-time book editor. She edits fiction and memoir for independent authors, and she has experience in both YA and adult fiction across the board: contemporary, fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction. 

She has her editing certificate from Simon Fraser University and is a member of Editors Canada. She is joining Dot and Dash a copy editor and beta reader.


In her spare time, she devours as many books as she can. Her latest reads and reviews are on her Instagram and her podcast, The Hobby ShelfShe also loves traveling, and part of her heart resides in Scotland, where she completed her university degree. She lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her soon-to-be husband and their adorable fur-babies.


Jacquelynn Lyon is an author of fiction and poetry. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in history and political science. She spent the last year teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea and has now returned home to Boulder, Colorado, to write about the strange, fantastical, and romantic. She focuses on speculative fiction across different genres, and her favorite things to read are urban fantasy, offbeat sci-fi, and anything a little eerie.

She is excited to join the Dot and Dash team as a beta reader.
