Meet the Dot and Dash Team
Erin is a book editor, author coach, educator, and owner of Dot and Dash, LLC. She has worked in book publishing for a lucky thirteen years, specializing in romance, women's fiction, and young adult, and she has helped to bring hundreds of titles to print, including romance books that went on to be USA Today and Amazon best sellers and other regional award-winning titles. She has worked with a Big Five publisher, a major children’s publisher, and a Hollywood podcast production team, but her favorite experiences have been helping women and nonbinary authors who self-publish their manuscripts. She has a certificate in editing and is a member of the ACES: The Society for Editing and the Professional Editors Network.
When she's not working on steamy and exciting manuscripts, she blogs about grammar, runs the Writing Accountability Group on Meetup and a networking group for editors, called the Lady Editors Tea Club, and speaks nationally about writing, editing, and entrepreneurship. She lives with her husband, her teenage cat, and her odd-shaped dog in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Brenna is a full-time book editor for independent authors. She has experience in both YA and adult fiction across the board, including contemporary, fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction, and she has helped an author become an Amazon best seller. She received her editing certificate from Simon Fraser University and is a member of Editors Canada. She is a copy editor, beta reader, and sensitivity reader for Dot and Dash.
In her spare time, she devours as many books as she can. Her latest reads and reviews are on her Instagram. She also hosts a weekly room on Clubhouse about book editing. Brenna loves traveling, and part of her heart resides in Scotland, where she completed her university degree. She lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband and their adorable fur-babies.
Crystal is a copy editor, proofreader, and sensitivity reader who primarily works with independent fiction authors. Her specialties are science fiction and fantasy, though she is open and available to work on all types of books.
She is also a licensed clinical social worker and unites her love of language and social justice by providing editorial services with a focus on representation and conscious language. She is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and its Diversity Initiative and Utah Freelance Editors, and she is on the board of ACES: The Society for Editing. She lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband and dog. When she's not editing, she's probably reading, playing video games, or eating her favorite Taiwanese foods.
Jacquelynn is an author of fiction and poetry, as well as a story coach, beta reader, and sensitivity reader. She recently spent a year teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea and is now living in Boston, Massachusetts, where she writes about the strange, fantastical, and romantic. She focuses on speculative fiction across different genres, and her favorite things to read are urban fantasy, offbeat sci-fi, and anything a little eerie. She currently has two novelettes and a short story collection for sale.
Abby is a copy editor and proofreader who enjoys reading anything she can get her hands on. From romance to high fantasy—nothing is off
limits! She received her bachelor of arts in English from the University of Minnesota and spent two years as a journalist before landing in content marketing and book editing. In her spare time, she writes young adult fiction and enjoys a cozy life with her fiancé, tabby cat, and two rabbits at their home in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.
